Preservation and Drive It Day 21st April

The Hereford and District Preservation Society demonstrated their stationary engines on the forecourt. They enjoyed the other exhibits and the museum. All had a good day and said it was well organised.

National Drive-It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005.  Celebrating the 'One Thousand Mile Trial' an 11-day round-Britain public test, that started on 23 April 1900 to "prove the viability" of the then new-fangled invention - the motor car.

We were visited by 12 Jaguar drivers and cars for lunch, which was much enjoyed.
