In early July 2024 Jill Phillips of the Waterworks Museum, Hereford, made contact with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust (HWT) to enquire about the potential of the trust conducting an ecological baseline survey, to inform the museum about what significant habitats and species are present within their landholding and how these can be better managed for wildlife.

In response to this request, Nature Recovery Officer Toby Fountain of HWT conducted a site visit of the museum grounds on 30/07/24 to undertake a general habitat survey.
