Armed Forces Week

On Sunday June 28th we had three special events as part of Armed Forces Week.

  • Angela Williams, a volunteer with Rotherwas Together gave a talk on A munitionette's view: the dangers, the dramas and the day-to-day routine at Rotherwas in WW1 and WW2.

  • Tom Quinsey - Herefordian Historian, Waterworks Museum volunteer, andGuild of Guides gave a talk about

    'Herefordshire During the World Wars'.

  • We were visited by the local constabulary who were keen to demonstrate their sirens, sticks and hand cuffs and explain their role in supporting the community.

Our thanks to them all, especially Heather, who made the cake.
